The Provincial Government of Albay, through the leadership and initiative of Governor Al Francis Bichara, turned-over various equipment today in an awarding ceremony held in the APSEMO Building in the Albay Capitol Grounds. Awarded were medical and rehabilitation equipment for satellite rehab centers in Tiwi and Guinobatan, IT equipment for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) of the 18 cities and municipalities in Albay, as well as livelihood assistance for KALIPI Federations of Sto. Domingo, Tabaco, and Tiwi. In his message, Gov. Bichara said that the PWDs and Senior Citizens in Albay are lucky because the current administration have made their plight its priority. “I told my people to immediately give these equipment and assistance because this is what they need, and this is only the start,” Bichara said. The Governor stated that there will be a multitude of programs in the work already to target the precise needs of the PWDs and Senior Citizens, including free eyeglasses and eye checkups. Bichara reminded the recipients to make use of the IT equipment for their data banking and to keep precise records, and also to provide these data to the Provincial Government of Albay. “Make sure that you have a complete data, and give us detailed and accurate information so that we will be able to take the appropriate and precise measures and steps, its just like a math problem, if the problem equation is wrong, then the solution will likewise be wrong,” said Gov. Bichara. The Albay Governor further stated that the PGA will prioritize their needs and that they do not need to worry as his administration is on their side. “Kasurog nindo kami,” Bichara said.
