The Department of Agriculture (DA) – Philippine Center for Postharvest Development & Mechanization (PhilMech) spearheaded the Turnover of Agricultural Machinery at Brgy. Salugan, Camalig, Albay, October 21, 2020.

DA-PhilMech distributed farm machineries and equipment to various farmers, cooperative and associations as part of the mechanization component of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF),  3 hand tractors, 5 rice reapers and 1 four-wheeled tractor were handed to Mayon Farmer’s Association Inc. and 1 four-wheeled tractor to Bantonan Community Development Cooperative ( BACODECO).

This program aims to raise rice farmers’ productivity, profitability and competitiveness through advance technology and appropriate way of production and postproduction mechanization.
