I. Quarrying Regulation Program

  1. Identify negative impacts brought by the quarrying activities.
  2. Implement measures to prevent the negative impacts brought by the quarrying activities.
  3. Monitor volume of extraction to prevent over extraction that will bring negative impact to the area.
  4. Conduct spot checking of vehicles transporting resources.
  5. Monitor compliance of the environmental condition stated at the ECC issued by the DENR to the permitte.
  6. Implement protection and rehabilitation of river bunks through planting of trees using adaptive specie.
  7. Identify, formulate and implement research studies related to resources development.
  8. Provide IEC, trainings and other skill development activities to reduce risk in the quarrying area.
  9. Verify adjudicated conflicts related to extraction and utilization of resources.

II. Solid waste Management Program/Environmental Enhancement Program

  1. Provide training, IEC on Integrated SWM technologies and updates.
  2. Provide assistance to LGUs in the formulation of Municipal SWM plan.
  3. Monitor the implementation of Anti-Plastic Ordinance.
  4. Provide technical assistance to LGUs, NGOs and other sectors in the implementation of SWM program.
  5. Enhance SWM technologies through “Lakbay Aral” program and attending trainings and workshops in updates and new technologies.

Pollution Control Program

  1. Participate in the conduct of environmental quality monitoring.
  2. Conduct investigation and recommend measures to prevent negative impacts brought by reported pollution complaints.
  3. Conduct coordination with DENR, LGUs and other sectors in the implementation of pollution control programs.


A. Rehabilitation & Development OF Mangroves Areas

  1. Conduct site of identification, evaluation and assessment of proposed mangrove areas.
  2. Provide trainings on mangrove utilization and development.
  3. Conduct planting of adaptive mangrove propagules.
  4. Conduct linkages with the different LGUs and sectors in the rehabilitation of corals and sea grass.

B. Rehabilitation and Development of Micro-Watershed Areas

  1. Conduct site identification, evaluation and assessment of micro-watershed areas.
  2. Maintain and develop plant nursery.
  3. Conduct tree planting using adaptive specie.
  4. Monitor the growth of the planted trees.
  5. Provide tree seedlings to LGUs.
  6. Conduct project monitoring.

C. Greening of the Environment/National Greening Program

  1. Conduct evaluation and validation of the proposed area.
  2. Coordinate with school heads/staff, local executive officials and other concerned sectors in the implementation of proposed activities.
  3. Conduct tree planting of adaptive species in the selected areas.
  4. Monitor growth of the planted seedlings.

D. Maintenance Soil Water Conservation Stations (SWCS)

  1. Conduct weeding/underbrushing of the area covered by the station.
  2. Conduct planting of forest/coconut trees.
  3. Repair of the perimeter fence.
  4. Assist in the harvesting and marketing of the coconut fruits.
