he Department Heads of the Provincial Government of Albay was called upon by Governor Al Francis Bichara for a meeting today, February 19, 2018 at the Governor’s Office Conference Room.
The agenda of the gathering was about the Mayon Volcano Situation and the PGA’s Mayon Operation.
Dr. Cedric Daep gave updates about the situation of Mayon. 
Dr. Daep reported that Mayon is still on Alert Level 4 and eruption is still dominated by intense but periodic and regularly-spaced lava fountaining events.
He also added that Lava flow and pyroclastic flow is not expected to go beyond 6 km danger zone, unlike Lahar that may go beyond the permanent danger zone.
Governor Bichara said that there must be a strict implementation of 6 km danger zone, and recommended Dr. Daep to conduct a Mapping and identify families whose livelihood (farming) is within 6 km.
PSWDO head, Ms. Eva Grageda also reported that there is a total of 69 donors as of today, and 10000 bags of rice is still in the Albay Astrodome for the repacking.
Ms. Grageda also mentioned that latest donations are the 350 trays of eggs and the 1000 chicken donated by Cesar Montano that was already distributed to the evacuation centers.
Dr. Antonio Ludovice of Provincial Health Office said that there is a strict and daily monitoring of health situations in the evacuation centers, and number 1 cause of illnesses is still cough and colds. Diarrhea cases were also reported, but he assured that the situation is under control.
He also said that the Medical Missions on Evacuation Centers are scheduled until the end February 2018.
On the other hand, The Provincial Engineer, Engr. Dante Baclao, reported that the construction of water, electrical facilities, and bathroom are already finished and around 300 units of temporary toilets are done.
Governor Bichara wants to assure evacuees’ safety and comfort, and works hand in hand with the PGA to provide the needed facilities and necessities of the evacuees.
