Being a sports enthusiast himself, Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara ordered a full support to the youth and sports development in the Province of Albay. In line with this order, a distribution of sports equipment to the Barangays in Albay is being conducted by the Provincial Sports Office thru the SK Federation and Association of Barangay Captains (ABC).
The sports equipment being distributed are basketball, volleyball set, chessboard set, and badminton set
The said sports equipment were first handed-over to the SK Federation Presidents during the final meeting for Governor’s Al Bichara’s Cup Season 20 last July 18, 2018. They were then instructed to wait for the Go Signal of the Provincial Sports Office before distributing the sports equipment to the barangays within their jurisdiction.
The first municipality that received the Go Signal was Camalig, Albay. 50 chessboard set, 50 basketballs, 50 badminton set, and 50 volleyball set were handed-over to LGU Camalig to be evenly distributed to 50 barangays of the municipality.
After the distribution of sports equipment at Camalig, Sto. Domingo and Daraga received the same equipment on the same day, last July 23, 2018.
The Municipality of Sto. Domingo received 23 chessboards, 23 basketballs, and 23 volleyball set to be evenly distributed to 23 barangays, while Daraga received 54 chessboards, 54 basketballs, 54 badminton set and 54 volleyball set that will also be distributed to the 54 barangays.
Jovellar, Albay and Guinobatan, Albay are scheduled to receive and distribute the sports equipment tomorrow, August 4, 2018.
Other Municipalities/Cities that have not yet received the Go Signal are being scheduled accordingly.
