The Provincial Government of Albay, together with Albay Electric Cooperative, Inc (ALECO) and National Electrification Administration (NEA), conducted a stakeholder’s meeting about the presentation of ALECO and/or APEC status, issues and concerns, and proposed solutions held at Albay Governor’s Office Conference Room, Legazpi City, today July 27, 2018.
Gov. Al Francis Bichara initiated the meeting by giving his welcome remarks. This was followed by a discussion of NEA Administrator, Mr. Edgardo R. Masongsong. ALECO Operations Manager, Mr. Gerard Balgemino, NEA Project Supervisor for ALECO, Atty. Omar Mayo, APEC Deputy General Manager, Mr. Bienvenido Bañas, and Mayor Noel Rosal were present at the venue.
Albayanos are experiencing a lot of power interruptions these past few days. That’s why a representative from APEC discussed their proposed projects to address these challenges such as replacing damaged poles, upgrading feeders, conductors, and replacement of overloaded transformers.
Other proceedings included concerns from engineers, consumers and other people present at the venue. Other issues and concerns were raised during the open forum.
To accommodate other recommendations from the audience during the open forum, Mayor Rosal suggested to list them down so that it can be submitted to the board members for consideration.
