The Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) continues to support Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) program. Through Albay Provincial Agricultural Office (APAO), they continue to distribute rice seeds and fertilizers in every Local Government Unit. The LGUs were given priority in the distribution due to early planting in their respective areas. The said program is in collaboration with the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PRRI).
As of May 25, APAO has already distributed a total of 5,106 of certified seeds. Each bag of seed weighs 20 kilos. The PGA is coordinating with PhilRice for the next schedule of distribution to the LGUS.
The table below shows the number of bags that is allocated on every municipality/LGUs and the number of bags that has been distributed. -KAJ
