SPECIFIC PROGRAMS AND ACTIONS INFRASTRUCTURE
    1. GUICADALE ECONOMIC PLATFORM
      • This is the key geostrategic intervention of Albay for spatial integration of upland areas suitable to settlements and commercial development and expands the developeable land area of Albay by 81,123 hectares, mostly around the international airport undergoing construction. GUICADALE stands for Guinobatan, Camalig, Daraga and Legazpi. Guicadale road projects, proposed by the Provincial Government of Albay, were included in the 2014 General Appropriations Act include:

Gateway: chartered flights using Legazpi airport have been successfully arranged CIQS (customs, immigration, quarantine health, quarantine agriculture and security).  Albay Province spent P11m for the retrofitting of existing Legazpi airport.  And we also secured approved from DOT, CAAP, DOTC for its designation as international gateway.  The Albay Intl Gateway Committee was formed to sustain the effort.

      1. CPCS, a Canadian firm, is undertaking a full-blown feasibility study on future shape of PNR
