The Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) headed by Regional Director Ma. Zenaida Angara-Campita together with OIC Provincial Head Leah B. Dy and the Provincial PESO headed by PESO manager Ma’am Lily Nicoleta, provided the internship program to 120 4-H club members to avail the DOLE-GIP program.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) represented by Regional Director Ma. Zenaida Angara-Campita together with OIC Provincial Head Leah B. Dy, partnered with the Provincial Government of Albay (PGA), under the dynamic leadership of Gov. Al Francis C. Bichara through the Albay Provincial Agricultural Office (APAO) and the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO) headed by Provincial PESO Manager Lily Nicoletan in providing the internship program to 120 to 120 Albayano 4-H Club members to avail DOLE-GIP last June 9, 2021.

The Government Internship Program is a component of KABATAAN 2000 under EO No. 139, s. 1993 which aims to provide opportunities and engage young workers to serve the general public in government/entities projects and programs at the national and local level. The objective of GIP is to provide young workers particularly the poor/indigent and young workers, opportunity to demonstrate their talents and skills in the field of public service with the ultimate objective of attracting the best and the brightest who want to pursue a career in government service, particularly in the fields and disciplines related to labor and employment.

Gov. Bichara together with the Provincial Agriculturist Ms Cheryll Rebeta and Assistant Provincial Agriculturist Hilda Lopez was lauded for their efforts in providing opportunity for the 4-H youths of Albay and also to unending support to the 4-H programs.
