Philippine Standard Time:
(Legazpi City, January 17, 2023) The Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) will conduct a profiling activity on January 18–20 this year for households set to be affected by the expansion of the Bicol International Airport (BIA) Phase 2.
Initially, 63 households were identified coming from the barangays of Burgos in Daraga and Del Rosario in Camalig that will be the subject of the profiling to be conducted by representatives of the Albay Provincial Human Settlement Office (PHSO) and the Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office (APSEMO).
To say “profiling” aims to collect key demographic information, including jobs and income, housing information, and the living conditions of the displaced population and use it as reference material for future programs and projects, specifically the livelihood interventions that will fit their needs, their capacities, and their skills.
To prepare for the profiling, an orientation was conducted Tuesday, January 17, attended by APHSO chief Engr. Gina Paz E. Sipin, Ph.D.; Mr. Ely Salting, OIC of the Albay Provincial Cooperative Enterprise and Manpower Development Office (APCEMDO); and Ms. Judy Balla from the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO).
