The Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) under the leadership of Gov. Al Francis C. Bichara through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) marked its rebuilding of lives of the beneficiaries yesterday 28th January 2021 in Tiwi, Albay.

PSWDO conducted its onset of the Albay Shelter Assistance Program (ASAP) at Libjo, Tiwi, Albay. The said program was joined by the different agency partners that were represented by Hon. Jaime C. Villanueva, Mayor of Tiwi, Albay, PCOL Arnold C. Santiago; Provincial Director, Albay Provincial Police Office; PBGEN Raul Loy Bargamento, Deputy Regional Director for Administration,  PBGEN Bartolome R. Bustamante, Regional Director Office 5, Vice Governor Grex Lagman, Board member Glenda O. Bongao; and Mr. Jun Cuebillas, Barangay Captain, Libjo, Tiwi, Albay, Philippine National Police (PNP), LGU Tiwi, guests and beneficiaries.

Sixty families were selected as beneficiaries who had lost their houses during the onslaught of the typhoon “Rolly”. The families had also received gift check from the generous heart of the Mayor of Tiwi, and additional food packs from PSWDO.

The said repairing of the damaged houses will be led by the PNP with the help of family members, while the PSWDO will shoulder their food and housing materials.
