The Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) headed by Mr. Rhondon C. Ricafort attended the Knowledge Sharing Session last February 18, 2021 held at the Sanggunian Panlalawigan Session Hall. The project is in joint partnership with the Embassy of Denmark and Embassy of Netherlands to the Philippines. Representatives from the Embassy of Denmark and the Netherlands both discuss the benefits of establishing a biking community and the strategies on how to create a bicycle culture in the province.
The knowledge sharing session was attended by representatives both from the public and private sector ranging from National Agencies, Local Government Units, Non-government Organizations and Private Clubs/Organizations. Hon. Vice Governor Edcel Greco A.B. Lagman, the proponent of the said ordinance graced the session and noted some key points/opinions from the participants. He stressed the importance of the ordinance as the response form the national government’s thrusts and strategies to have an affordable and cost-effective system that puts a premium on the quality of life of the people, particularly the Albayanos. Each of the participants expressed their full support for the said ordinance and commended the effort of the Sanggunian Panlalawigan for enacting it.
The Provincial Youth Development Office fully supports this ordinance as it will be beneficial to the holistic well-being of every Albayano Youth by promoting Health and Wellness, Exercise, and Environmental Sustainability and Protection amidst the pandemic.
